I should also mention that the explanations for the puzzle are now in place. The votes have being counted and the results (in this case with an overall majority being achieved) will be announced in due course. Smile

A new month, so a new prize crossword. While the results from the June puzzle are being checked (answers of course now available) please avail yourself of the July puzzle, entitled Show Business.

The July puzzle is now finished, and the winner in the process of being notified. The answers to the puzzle, along with the explanations, are now published. This of course means that the August puzzle (Help!) is now open to you all. Best of luck to everyone.

It's that time of month again, and the August puzzle is now closed and the solution published (the explanations will follow in a day or two). The winner is in the process of being notified, and now the September prize puzzle - Initiators And Reciprocators - awaits you.

The September puzzle is now closed with the answers and explanations published, and the October puzzle, 'The Setting', is now open. Best of luck to everyone.

The curtain has now closed on the October puzzle, for which the theme was Les Miserables. Fuller details and explanations of the puzzle will follow shortly (I am currently mid-swapping home computers).

The November puzzle, 'Cross Reference', is now open for solving. Good luck to you all with that.

The results for the November crossword are now in and the winner will be notified in due course. This means of course that the December prize puzzle is now open.

However, an announcement needs to be made, and that is that the December puzzle is the last one for which a prize will be offered. My other half has been grumbling for some time now (with some justification, I suppose) about me 'giving money away to strangers'. This *won't* mean the end of the crosswords, just that the solving will have to be for pleasure. There will still be a 'winner' announced for each monthly puzzle, so the glory of victory will still be available, and of course there is still the December puzzle...

I hope I'm not alone in saying this, but assuming the crosswords continue to be as enjoyable into the new year, the lack of prize doesn't bother me.

Got to agree - as a tester I am not eligible to win a prize ( Crying or Very sad ) but I still look forward to Stretham releasing each one.

Another year over, another contest finishes. The December puzzle is now closed and the winner in the process of being notified. This means that the January puzzle (Road Trip) is now open, without the pressure of competing for prizes. Best of luck to you all.

Catchphrase time is over now and the March puzzle answers are published, meaning we have a new puzzle in place for you for April (A Major Undertaking). Enjoy!

The April puzzle is now closed, so we are now onto the May crossword, entitled simply 'Or'. I hope you have fun with it.
