All

We have just made a few changes to the underlying software for the site. For the time being, the effect for everyone using the site is intended to be precisely zero. This is because the changes are in preparation for an upcoming contest (more on that in a moment). However the changes we have made are relatively significant, so potentially there could be some inadvertent side effects. Therefore, if you spot anything out of the ordinary then please do either post here or PM one of the site admin (me, The Hirsute One, SparkPlug or xyphic). We're hoping though that you won't need to. Smile

With regards to the upcoming contest, this will be a departure from the normal linear-type contest that you see at Puzzletome: both the 'work your way straight through' sequential types and the more open Festive Fun types. Instead expect something more akin to Labyrinth or (for those that remember it) Timehunt. This latter was in actual fact the inspiration behind the contest, and we hope you will enjoy it.

A further minor change has been made to the site software that could potentially affect the appearance of the navigation on some of the contests. The ones affected are the 'non-sequential' types that have a tree-like structure showing the puzzles available, such as the Festive Fun or Trivial Pursuit contests. The change is likely to only affect appearance and not functionality. We've done a fair degree of testing to check, but without going through every puzzle on every contest we may have missed something. So if you notice anything untoward on any of these then please let me or one of the other admin know and we'll do our best to fix things.

Thanks
Stretham
