Whilst I'm pondering my diet (3.15) I thought I'd casually ask Stretham about the derivation of his(/her?) monikker.
The wife and I visited a NT location at the weekend (popular with twitchers)and passed through a village of that name, stopping off for an agreeable pub lunch in a place of some notoriety. (Yes, I'm being deliberately vague here, in the spiirt of the site ).
Any connection

As it appears you have rightly guessed, it is the place I live.

Yep - an agreeable stroll, despite getting hailed on at one point.
We are not enthusiasts but might consider returning when the summer visitors are there in abundance.
