Paul Trigger sat in his office, leaning back on his chair and thoroughly bored. His latest assignment, the "Brief Case", had indeed lived up to its name and been disappointingly brief. Perhaps he needed to stop cracking these cases so quickly? It was a good job he didn't charge by the hour or he'd never make a living.
Maybe if two cases came up at once? (You know the deal, you wait around for ages and then two turn up at once!) That would be interesting. In fact, he'd had a dream last night about that very possibility. Two cases, completely independent, and yet with spookily strange coincidences occurring all the way through them.
What he needed was a bit of a break... a nice tour around the world seeing the sights and doing the odd puzzle here and there to keep his mind active. But on his bank balance, that was not really very likely. Also, a bit of company wouldn't go amiss either. Quite often his cases tended to be solitary affairs. It would really make a nice change to spend some time with a friend.
As if on cue, the phone rang...

You mean to say he has spent everything already? PT might be good with puzzles, but not with money _________________ uoznnz ufnl vhg kilcrnz |

In fact, so bored I decided to invite you all to the fun time I had with a friend of mine. (Yes I do have them before you say anything.) So if you're interested in joining me, pop along at 20:00 GMT (and if you live in the UK, don't forget that's 21:00 BST) on Thursday 23rd June.
