Today has been a totally crap day (excuse my language, I learnt it from my teenage stepsons).

Of course, there are the events in London, and my own day is nothing by comparison.

Today our lovely old cat, Tom, died. He was eighteen years old, he had a lovely life, and he died peacefully after a short illness. We buried him in a sunny spot in the garden, so he will always feel the sun on his back

He was part Siamese and he chatted all the time. I don't know how many times I have said 'Shut up, Tom'. But tonight I'd love to hear him meowing at me.

I hope you don't mind me posting this, I just wanted to say it somewhere, if you know what I mean.

Carolanne, my kitten Buddy says meouw meouw, which translates to "he is sorry to hear of your loss" and I am too.
