Far from advertising, I suppose, but I know old TimeHunters are often found on these pages and might like to read the latest. It is not unexpected, but finally getting Danny Kodicek to put the -30- in black and white, makes me quite sad. What an anticlimactic fizzle. One can only hope they come up with a creative way to award the "prize". This in answer to an eMail sent yesterday:
<sniff>
Yes, I'm afraid it does look like timeHunt is no more. I do feel bad for the
community because you did all invest so much time and emotion in it, but I
hope that at least while it lasted it was enjoyable.
We haven't worked out what we're doing with the prize yet...
All the best and thanks for your support
Danny
I'm sorry I'll never get to see Devjoe and Stretham's asteroid launch from the Machina.

Nice to hear from you again Badgero. Sad news, but as you say completely expected. I still don't think there has been anything to beat Timehunt at its peak. And the "working together" ethic has not really been found in the same form anywhere else in online puzzle contests. Our little enclave that we had at work (me, xyphic and misterc/DoctorBoot) never actually got any meta first solves, but we feel we contributed much to several of them. And we certainly got quite a few of the satellites first.
But cheer up Badgero! Puzzletome is here with many devious contests to keep you busy.

And I'm dipping my toe in again right now. I thought I might have found the shallow end, but almost immediately found myself up to the neck and sinking
