I really didn't mean to break its tail, it just came off in my hand. Surprised

If Tinkabelle (the cat) hadn't bought the mouse into the house in the first place.

And if stepson No.2 hadn't chased the cat back into the garden without the mouse, the mouse wouldn't have been running around my kitchen.

And I wouldn't have had to catch the mouse by its tail.

And its tail wouldn't have snapped off in my hand.

Believe me, I am very distressed by this chain of events. I am going to need a glass of wine to get over it.

Remind me never to tell you about the time the cats had a mouse cornered behind the chairlift, so I moved the chairlift upstairs to get access to it, and that's when I realised the mouse hadn't been *behind* the chairlift...

Spent the whole afternoon with cotton buds and disinfectant removing bits of goo from gear teeth Sad

Yuck.

Friday, Tinkabelle was staring intently at the hoover, deep down I think I knew why. Just as I was leaving for work, I thought I would move the hoover to see what was there. The mouse jumped, I jumped, the cat, my partner and No.2 stepson ran away. The mouse and I played chase for the next 15 mins before I finally managed to catch it and release it in the garden.

Yesterday, there was a bird in the shower unit. Birds, I have discovered, don't like to be caught and are too thick to fly out of the bathroom window that you have opened for it. Another 15 minutes of my life wasted chasing wildlife around the house.

I wouldn't mind, but I don't think my boss believes me when I explain to him why I am late again. Confused

Still... at least that annoying squeak disappeared.
