Please put an onload javascript line in the puzzle pages to make the textbox have the focus automatically. That way, we don't have to constantly reach for the mouse to click in the box and then type in our answer! For people like me, who get stuck on the entry question to contest one round one and type 95 guesses before they get it correct (yes, that's right, I said 95), it would be great! Less time between answer submissions you see.
It's a small request, but it shouldn't be too difficult to add. In fact, here is the line you need:
<body onLoad="document.forms[0].answer.focus();">
...or just...
<script>
document.forms[0].answer.focus();
</script>
Can you add that in for us please?

It's in hand and being worked on currently (as part of our never-ending "to do" list!) - this comment/suggestion was made somewhere in another thread too, although I can't actually remember where at the moment.

Swift and all
Apologies that this wasn't done sooner. We have been busy... honest... no really it's true. Anyway it should now be in place, i.e. loading a puzzle page will set the focus to the answer box (put the cursor in it for the none techies amongst you).

And taken out again because there's a problem with NULL objects on the other pages on the site. Sorry about that, I need to find a solution that works generically on our site.

Again many apologies for not getting this right first time. However, all should now be well. Just think of all the split seconds you can now save by not having to click in the submit box!!

Thanks Stretham!
Those precious few seconds will really help me. I think I'm on track to be the person to have guessed the most number of times!!! Woohoo!

Thanks guys - it's working great!
It's not just split second's we're saving - it's precious energy conservation, as well as reducing the risk of wrist strain!
